ABOUT CHRIS'S WAY SOCIETY

Since 2023, Chris’s Way Society has been dedicated to honoring the memory of Chris Bishop by spreading awareness, offering support, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Did you know 1 in 4 Nova Scotians is currently living with mental illness and addiction? Mental health effects everyone in one way or another. We are just a regular family, but we have felt the impact of losing a loved one to mental illness in August 2020.

One of the unique ways we’ve been honouring Chris, while bringing awareness to mental health issues, is through the restoration and display of a 1970 Cuda—a powerful conversation starter and symbol of our cause. We’ve proudly showcased this car at events and car shows across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, where it has drawn attention, started meaningful dialogue, and opened hearts.

A LABOUR OF LOVE

Christopher was a young man 19 years old when he passed away. He was an avid athlete playing a variety of sports as well as being a die-hard gym rat. He had a passion for motorcycles and car, like his father.

Before he passed Chris had planned on building a car to cruise around and have fun in. when Chris passed, Kaitlyn, His sister, went to her father and said, “we are finishing his car”.

We have many people donating their time and money to help with this restoration. We are currently seeking support to continue the restoration process and expand our outreach to even more communities.

A WORK IN PROGRESS

So far, the 70 Cuda has a hand-built custom frame (weld yourself) From Chris Alton’s Chassisworks, 2020 6.4L Scat pack, 8-speed automatic transmission. Custom hand-made Floors, firewall, tubs, exhaust, headers, gas tank and gas tank cradle. Our own House made color (Twisted grape) for the outside.
